My oldest daughter is eleven, and she’s known she wants to be a writer for quite a few years now (you can find her blog HERE). She reads and writes constantly, and we’ve often discussed doing projects together. Around two years ago she wrote this small poem and had asked me to illustrate it. Here we are now, and I finally got around to it yesterday, so here’s our second father-daughter project (assuming “The 3,2,1 Blast Off! Number Book” iOS app counts as the first). I hope you enjoy it.
I’m really looking forward to doing more projects with my daughter as she grows up. I suppose other of you artists work on projects with/for your children. Anyone have grown children with whom they work?
I do not, but wish I did. My daughter is 19, so I suppose there’s still time for her to decide what she wants to do, but it doesn’t look likely. I am very happy for you and your daughter. It is a very cute poem and a great illustration. Well done! I look forward to more.

Thanks, Paul! I am grateful that my kids are creative. I hope to be able to do things with my other kids as well. Only time will tell…
