Holding The Tiger By The Tail

I’ve been too busy to post lately. Most of what I’ve been doing is rough or conceptual work, not finished or polished work meant for public consumption.

Frank_Grau_Tiger_PlushThe example here is one of a stack of designs I’ve done for a company producing plush items. Since I’m too busy to do anything for the blog, I figure I’d give you an idea of the kind of things I’ve been up to. I’ve also been doing character design and photography, but I don’t want to plaster a sample of everything at once.

All In The Family

My oldest daughter is eleven, and she’s known she wants to be a writer for quite a few years now (you can find her blog HERE). She reads and writes constantly, and we’ve often discussed doing projects together. Around two years ago she wrote this small poem and had asked me to illustrate it. Here we are now, and I finally got around to it yesterday, so here’s our second father-daughter project (assuming “The 3,2,1 Blast Off! Number Book” iOS app counts as the first). I hope you enjoy it.

I’m really looking forward to doing more projects with my daughter as she grows up. I suppose other of you artists work on projects with/for your children. Anyone have grown children with whom they work?
